Gheorgi Gospodinov
Georghi Gospodhinov, 33, is considered the enfant terrible of the new Bulgarian literature that has emerged since 1989, after the collapse of Communism there. He is a consulting poetry editor at Janet 45, a leading publishing house based in Plovdiv, Bulgaria’s second largest city. He is also editor-in-chief of Vestnik Litteratounen, Sofia’s leading weekly literary journal. Known primarily as a poet, his collection of short stories And Other Stories, published last year, was a bestseller. Un roman naturel, his first full-length novel, was also a bestseller, and has been translated into several different languages. It is currently being adapted to the screen.
