Diane Afoumado is a historian who specializes in Holocaust studies. She has taught history at the University of Paris X and collaborated on several research projects, including one with renowned historian and attorney Serge Klarsfeld on the French internment camps. She also contributed to a collection edited by Michael Pari, Repicturing the Second World War: Representations in Film and Television, published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2008. She now works for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC.
