Saman Abdul Majid : Samaan Abdul Majid also worked as a translator for Uday, Saddam’s oldest son, well-known for his whims and excesses. He graduated from the University of Bolton (England), and from the École Supérieure d’Interprétariat et de Traduction. He is now working as an English and French translator for the Al-Jazeera news network in Quatar. The Saddam Years was written in collaboration with Georges Malbrunot and Christian Chesnot. Georges Malbrunot is the Middle East correspondent for Le Figaro. Christian Chesnot has covered the Middle East for Radio France, Le Point, and La Tribune de Genève.
